Donald Trump shared renderings of the new “Great Ballroom” that is underconstruction.

Trump said, “It is on budget, and ahead of schedule” and that “it will also be used for future Presidential Inaugurations.”

Truth Social:

Two views of the Great Ballroom being built on the site of our wonderful White House — It is on budget, and ahead of schedule! When completed, it will be the finest Ballroom ever built anywhere in the World, one that has been sought by Presidents for over 150 years — and now they are getting THE BEST! Because of its unprecedented structural, safety, and security features, it will also be used for future Presidential Inaugurations. Thank you for your attention to this matter! PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP

Here are the renderings:

The ballroom is expected to cost an estimated $250 million and is being funded by private donations and Trump himself.

Daily Wire reported:

Construction on the new ballroom began in October with the tearing down of the East Wing. The new ballroom will cost an estimated $250 million, which the president has said will be funded by himself and through private donations, not taxpayer money.

The president has been careful to note that the ballroom is “going to be very much in keeping with the White House.” He personally approved the plans for the addition, not wanting the building to tower over the White House nor look out of place on the White House grounds.

The construction project is the latest major renovation to the White House grounds, with one of the most recent coming in 2009 when former president Barack Obama had the White House tennis court turned into a basketball court.
