President Donald Trump says he will personally fund  “Patriotic Ads,” after criticism over his use of U.S. money to pay for advertising promoting the United States.

Trump said the ads will instead be paid for himself and with money he raised for MAGA, Inc.

Truth Social:

The Radical Left is upset with the fact that I am taking Ads, which I consider to be a positive promotion for our Great U.S.A., and paying for them with U.S.A. money. This is a rather standard thing to do but, rather than doing that, although nothing will make them happy, I have decided to do the Patriotic Ads, among others, and pay for them myself, and with money I raised for MAGA, Inc. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! President DONALD J. TRUMP

A White House official pointed out that other administrations used taxpayer funding to fund the ads.

The White House Official said, “Presidential Public service announcements are nothing new. Administrations of both parties have used public service announcements to explain policy and make the case for the nation’s direction.”

“MAGA Inc. will pay for the PSA ads moving forward,” a White House official said.

“Presidential Public service announcements are nothing new. Administrations of both parties have used public service announcements to explain policy and make the case for the nation’s direction,” the official added.

Three ads were released.

They included one touting the “largest tax cuts in history” and honoring the 250th anniversary of America.

Fox 8 reported:

The first ad featured clips of Trump talking about defeating communism interspersed with onscreen text promoting the “largest tax cuts in history,” “reigniting American manufacturing” and a call to “defend law and order and police.”

Later the same week, a second ad began running. It showed scenic videos of Mount Rushmore with quotes and clips from Trump’s Fourth of July weekend speech there honoring the country’s 250th anniversary.

A third, more recent one was virtually identical to an ad for Trump’s Republican reelection campaign in 2024 and showed him walking down a hallway as his voice can be heard warning of a “final battle” against “globalists” and “warmongers.”
