Trump Rips Supreme Court Over Midterm Ruling

President Donald Trump is criticizing the U.S. Supreme Court over its handling of an election-related case in Missouri, saying the court has now overruled judges three times and prevented Missouri from having an “Election Victory.”
In a post, Trump thanked Missouri’s governor and residents for what he called their fight for “Fairness and Election Security.” Trump also said he won Missouri by large margins in all three of his presidential elections and expressed his pride in the state.
The Supreme Court of the United States will just not let Missouri have an Election Victory. They continuously, three times now, overrule Judges who came to the correct decisions. The Supreme Court ruled against Missouri Republicans who were pushing for the new 7-1 map to be used for the midterm elections.
Because of the ruling from the Supreme Court, Missouri is now using the older 6-2 map.
On Friday, the Supreme Court again stopped a directive for Missouri Republicans to use their favored congressional map, and officials now have to go back to an older map for the upcoming election.
The court’s ruling was damaging for Republicans, who had pushed for a more favorable 7-1 House map in time for this year’s midterms, rather than an older 6-2 map.
Republicans passed the 7-1 congressional map last year and used it for primaries last month. However, the Supreme Court’s ruling now requires Missouri to use different congressional lines for the general election.
The legal battle over the congressional map in the Show Me State came back to the high court for a third time late Tuesday. The Supreme Court had ruled against the Republicans twice before, but those decisions were technically interim.
