President Donald J. Trump announced that the U.S. Supreme Court has ruled in favor of moving forward with the proposed Ballroom/Military Complex in Washington, D.C., declaring that the project can proceed without further contingency or legal uncertainty.
In a statement celebrating the decision, Trump described the development as a landmark project of the “Golden Age of America,” saying the ballroom and military complex is expected to be completed in the summer of 2028. He also said the project remains under budget and ahead of schedule, while asserting that it will be fully funded by private donors and corporations at no cost to American taxpayers.
I am pleased to report that the United States Supreme Court has just ruled in favor of the Ballroom/Military Complex being built without any further contingency, doubt, or threat. We are living in the Golden Age of America, and this Building will be one of the Greatest ever constructed in Washington, D.C. When completed in the Summer of 2028, the magnificent Ballroom and Military Complex will be something that the entire Country is very proud of. The Project, despite the baseless lawsuit brought by the so-called National Trust for Historic Preservation of the United States, which is not in any way affiliated with the United States Government, is under budget and ahead of schedule. The U.S. Supreme Court ruled 5-4 that construction of the proposed ballroom can continue, delivering a major victory to President Donald Trump and allowing the project to move forward.
Chief Justice John Roberts joined the court’s liberal justices in the decision, while Justices Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett voted in favor of Trump’s position.
The Supreme Court delivered a win to President Donald Trump, ruling that construction on the $400 million White House ballroom can continue.
In a 5-4 ruling, the Supreme Court stopped a ruling from a lower court, that would have “restricted construction until Congress provided additional approvals,” the Hill reported.

While Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts was reported to have joined Justices Ketanji Brown Jackson, Elena Kagan, and Sonia Sotomayor in dissenting, Justices Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett “sided with the president, ruling that a preservationist group likely had no right to sue.”
