As per The Texas Tribune, during a private lunch, Rove allegedly revealed his decision, making the endorsement particularly notable given his voting history. He said Rosenthal would mark only the second Democrat he has supported in more than 30 years, following his vote for former Texas Lt. Gov. Bob Bullock in 1994.
