The SAVE Act is still yet to pass.

Turning Point USA is now threatening Republicans with a primary if they do not support it.

The Washington Examiner reported

Turning Point Action is escalating pressure on Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD), warning it will back a primary challenger against him if the Senate fails to pass the SAVE America Act.

Tyler Bowyer, the chief operating officer of Turning Point Action, the 501(c)(4) political arm of Charlie Kirk’s Turning Point USA, said the group is prepared to seek out a primary challenger to Thune if the voter ID legislation fails to pass the Senate. The news was reported by the Daily Caller.

“America needs the Save America Act passed,” Bowyer told the Washington Examiner in a text message.

COO of Turning Point Action Tyler Bowyer, named Senate Leader John Thune by name saying, “Other states that decide not to do this, particularly in the south after the Supreme Court ruling, should be on watch. Guys like Thune should be on watch, that aren’t getting the will of the people done with the SAVE America Act.”

Daily Caller reported:

“[A lot of Republicans] will lose their jobs if they don’t get on board, they don’t listen to their voters, if they don’t do the right thing and fight the manipulation of the Democrats,” Tyler Bowyer, the Chief Operating Officer of TPUSA Action, told the Caller.

“Other states that decide not to do this, particularly in the south after the Supreme Court ruling, should be on watch. Guys like Thune should be on watch, that aren’t getting the will of the people done with the SAVE America Act.”

“Those are the two biggest targets here on who might be next,” he finished.

Trump has made it clear he is disappointed with the SAVE Act not passing.

Trump said, “I like John a lot, but he, you know, he has a couple of Republicans that are foolish people. A couple of them are, like, a couple of them I can’t stand, actually.”

Fox News reported:

President Donald Trump isn’t happy with Senate Republicans for not pulling the trigger on the one procedural move that could unlock his agenda.

Trump, since taking office again last year, has time and again called on Republicans to terminate the filibuster — the 60-vote threshold in the Senate that can either make or break legislation.

When asked on Tuesday if he was disappointed that Republicans hadn’t terminated the filibuster, Trump said he was, but he didn’t blame Senate Majority Leader John Thune, R-S.D.

“I’m disappointed,” Trump said. “I like John a lot, but he, you know, he has a couple of Republicans that are foolish people. A couple of them are, like, a couple of them I can’t stand, actually.”
