Putin Tells Trump Iran’s Position On Peace Deal

According to the Kremlin, Russian President Vladimir Putin told Donald Trump about Iran’s stance on a potential peace deal.

A Kremlin spokesman said, “In coordination with the Iranian president, Putin conveyed the Iranian side’s views on a possible resolution to the conflict to Trump.”

Russian President Vladimir Putin has told Donald Trump about Iran’s position on a possible Mideast peace deal, the Kremlin said Saturday.

The Kremlin said Tehran’s stance was relayed in a phone call held between the two leaders on Friday. It did not say how Trump responded, nor elaborate on Iran’s position.

Putin met Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on the sidelines of a summit in Turkmenistan earlier this week, where the Russian leader expressed an interest in helping broker peace.

“In coordination with the Iranian president, Putin conveyed the Iranian side’s views on a possible resolution to the conflict to Trump,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Saturday, according to Russia’s state RIA news agency.

Trump was able to secure a massive diesel deal with Russia on Friday.

Russia will supply the global market with 300,000 tons of diesel right away, followed by 500,000 in November and 1 million after that.

Trump wrote, “Between our TOTAL CONTROL of the Strait of Hormuz, and this great announcement on Russian Energy, Diesel Prices for Americans and, indeed, the World, will be COMING DOWN, IN RECORD NUMBERS, AND FAST!”

President Donald Trump on Friday said he secured a deal with Russia to supply millions of tons of diesel fuel to the global market.

Trump said Russian President Vladimir Putin agreed to immediately supply more than 300,000 tons of diesel, followed by another 500,000 tons in November and 1 million tons shortly afterward.

The announcement came as the Treasury Department said it was issuing a temporary license allowing Russian diesel to be sold on the global market despite existing U.S. sanctions. The license will remain in effect until April 7.
