The alleged ringleader of the plot to attack the UFC White House event was an illegal immigrant, according to the Department of Homeland Security.

Abraham Alvarez previously overstayed his visa, which expired in 2001. He is from Mexico.

Alvarez was given deportation relief by the Obama administration’s DACA program.

Fox News reported:

Abraham Alvarez, identified in federal documents as the alleged “ringleader” of a plot to carry out a mass casualty event at the UFC White House event on June 14, is an illegal immigrant from Mexico who overstayed his visa, according to Homeland Security information first obtained by Fox News Digital.

Alvarez came to the United States as a child and was granted by the Obama administration in 2014 deportation relief through the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program after he failed to leave the country when his B2 visa expired in 2001.

Five co-conspirators were arrested so far this month for allegedly planning with others to use drones equipped with explosives to force an evacuation from the White House event on Sunday and, in the ensuing chaos, a team of snipers was allegedly set to open fire on the crowds. Federal investigators claim Alvarez was responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the planned attack.

Court records ousted Alvarez as a foreign national considering he consented to a consular notification after his arrest this weekend, though the documents provided no information on his specific immigration status nor his country of origin.

The alleged drone terror attack was stopped by the FBI.

Allegedly, the attack was going to involve the use of drones and snipers. There were also allegedly plans to storm the White House gate.

According to one suspect, the targets were allegedly capitalist elites, billionaires, or politicians who took money from AIPAC.

Breitbart reported:

An alleged explosive drone terror attack destined for Sunday’s UFC Freedom 250 event on the White House South Lawn was thwarted by the FBI and five suspects are now custody, it was revealed Tuesday.

The multi-phase attack allegedly involved using explosive-laden drone aircraft to strike buildings in the vicinity of the event, sparking mass panic and driving the fleeing crowd toward a sniper team poised to pick them off, officials told Fox News.

A “second wave” of attackers then allegedly planned to storm the White House gate, officials said. Fox News further detailed:

The report further reveals possible motives for the alleged terror assault, with one suspect allegedly told investigators the goal was to target “capitalist elites,” “billionaires” or politicians who received donations from the American Israel Public Affairs Committee.
